FAQ’s about roof boxes.

1) What can you carry in them?

Anything from excess luggage to prams and pushbikes for kids! With capacity loads up to approximately 75kgs, boxes are ideal for tents, bulky sleeping bags, and all large items you wish to take on your journey. They are best suited to softer loads that mould to the shape of the box to maximise their use.

2) Are they safe on motorways?

Yes! All boxes will have been rigorously tested to ensure that they are safe at motor way cruising speeds. It is essential that when loading your roof box you make sure nothing that nothing becomes trapped between the sealing seams as this may cause a pressure build up inside.

3) How much drag will a roof box cause?

Obviously anything located on the roof will have a detrimental affect on fuel efficiency although all boxes have been designed to be as aerodynamic as possible.

4) How wide are the brackets supplied?

All of the brackets are approximately 80mm wide so the boxes will fit all Thule, Mont Blanc and original manufacturers’ bars.

5) Are the roof boxes secure from theft?

All roof boxes come with locks and some with up to 6 point locking systems. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure that they are safe from theft, we cannot guarantee that the most determined thieves will not get in.
