Which type of roof bars system will i need for my type of car?                            

Most Cars fall into 1 of 5 categories depending on the type of roof you have. Thule and Mont Blanc offer a solution to all types of car with a variety of feet and bars supplied with vehicle specific brackets in some cases. Look below to find your type of roof and read about how the thule or Mont Blanc system fits to your car. 

Cars That have Roof Rails fitted already:-

	Thule 755 Roof Bars / Rack for cars fitted with factory fit roof rails. The thule 755 foot pack are used with either the thule standard square bars or the aluminium aero bars and fit nearly all vehicles with roof rails fitted as standard. This foot pack comes with locks included.
	Thule 775 Roof bars / Racks for cars fitted with factory fit roof rails. The Thule 775 foot pack is an alternative foot system used on some cars where space is at a premium under the rail. This thule foot pack comes with locks included.
	Thule 4900 Roof Bars / Racks for Vehicles with Integrated roof rails. The thule 4900 is a more recent addition to the thule range needed as more vehicles are appearing with a roof rail that is integral to the cars roof. This thule foot pack comes with locks included.

Cars with a normal roof:-

Thule 750 Roof Bars / Racks for vehicles with normal roofs. The thule 750 foot pack is used on cars which we term have a normal roof. This being that it clamps under the door apertures  instead of utilising any fixpoints already in the car roof.

Cars with Fixpoint Systems in the roof:-

Thule 751 Roof Bars / Rack for vehicles with factory fitted fixpoints in roof. The thule 751 foot pack is used to utilise the fixpoints already fitted by the manufacturers. They can be bought with either standard or aluminium bars and come complete with locks.

Cars with traditional rain gutters :-

Thule 951/952/953/420/368 & 369 Roof Bars / Rack for vehicles with rain gutters. The thule traditional system is a complete roof bars system combined only with standard square bars. Locks can be purchased as an optional extras on all these bar systems.

Cars with a special track system :-

Thule 4700/ 4600/ 4304 Roof Bars / Rack for vehicles with track systems. The thule four thousand system is designed for cars and 4x4's that have a track type attachmnent running front to rear.

All thule roof bars listed in our vehicle selector listing will come as a complete kit with all the parts you will need. The only options possibly needed will be the keyed locks that do not come with some of the foot packs as standard. Thule fitting kits :-

Thule use a fitting kit systemfor normal roof type cars that includes a set of rubber feet and coated brackets which have been engineered to fit the door apertures and roof line of your vehicle perfectly. If you are changing between vehicles that both have normal type roofs then all you need to do is replace your fitting kit in most cases.

Thule footpacks :-

The thule range of roof bars consists of two types of system including the rapid and traditional footpacks. See below for additional information on the two types.

	Thule Rapid System The thule rapid system foot packs include the 750, 755, 751, 775, 4900, 4700, 4601, 4602, 4604, 4605, 4606, 4609, 4610. These feet are elegant in design, often looking every bit as good as manufacturers roof barsand can be fitted with either the thule standard square bars or the beautiful looking aluminium aero bars which are quiter at high speeds and also offer a simple attachment of any thule accessories such as bike, canoe or ski carriers.
	Thule Traditional System The thule traditional systemfootpacks include the 950, 951, 952, 953, 960 & the 420 and are often listed for older vehicles with rain gutters or for vans with a higher roof line requiring greater clearance. These traditional feet can be used with the standard thule square roof bars.

Leisureshack are also suppliers of the quality brand Mont Blanc and are able to offer a load carrying solution for most cars. Mont Blanc also offer roof bar systems for cars with roof rails, normal roofs and guttered vehicles. When purchasing the mont blanc 401 system you will receive a roof bar system and a fitting kit specific to the vehicle its listed for. Mont Blanc offer a quality roof rack at an affordable price. Mont Blanc also offer a pre assembled roof bar kit for vehicles with roof rails already fitted in the RF20 part number which is our best selling bar kit. There is no building required, just an extremely simple and elegant roof bar at a great price. The RF20 is part of a range called the ready fit range, a line up of approximately 20 roof bar kits that are all pre-assembled and cover about 70% of the car parc with the 20 numbers.
